“Jade, get up!” Mum calls next morning. “Gran’s here.”

I go and say hello in my PJs.

Gran holds out my new top – it’s finished!

I give her a big hug.

“I’m gonna try it on!” I tell her.

I come back out to show them all.

Gran nods and smiles.

“You look like me when I was a girl!” she says.

“Can I wear it today?” I ask.

Mum frowns. “Let’s keep it for best, Jade,” she says.

“But I SO want to wear it now!” I tell her.

“Well, if Gran says OK…” Mum says with a smile.

We all look at Gran.

She nods.
